DEVGRU by  Peter Zoppi

“I put this character together for a class I teach with CG Master Academy’s 3d character arts program. The course is all about creating high quality characters for cinematic and film purposes. It covers advanced techniques in modeling, texturing, sculpting and shading.

This was modeled with Maya with some cloth sim from Marvelous Designer. Sculpting was done with Mudbox and ZBrush. The bulk of the texture painting was done with Substance Painter. The head was texture painted in Mudbox and I used the fantastic high frequency detail maps from TexturingXYZ along with some cross polarized photo reference that I shot. Rendering and shading was done in VRay for Maya. I also did a little bit of color correction and post processing with Photoshop and Lightroom.”
